Retreats

Annually, both men and women of the parish have the opportunity to attend weekend retreats. The retreats provide parishioners an opportunity to more fully experience their Catholic faith and personal connection with God. There is plenty of time to rest, pray, renew, meditate, recreate, discern and hear inspiring talks and workshops.

Faith Formation

Our Goal  The St. Peter Claver Faith Formation Program seeks to provide to all families the knowledge, skills, and experiences necessary for their ongoing conversion to Jesus Christ and the Gospel in order to bring about full participation in the life of the Catholic Church. In nurturing all age groups, we will foster community among the children, families, and the parish community, encouraging all to be good stewards of the gifts God has given them, using these gifts to proclaim, celebrate and serve the Kingdom of God.

Our Focus

The Office of Faith Formation focuses on the mission and ministry of Jesus Christ and His Church in proclaiming the Good News of the kingdom of God. The Office is responsible for parish-based religious education/catechetical programs. These programs are for all ages - religious education is life-long learning. Catechesis includes sacramental preparation (First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion celebrated in the 3rd Grade, and Confirmation celebrated in the Spring of 10th Grade, Faith formation programs for K-5, Middle School, High School and Families.

For all inquiries call the Faith Formation Office at (860) 521-2904

Catechetical Ministry

Essential to the success of the Faith Formation program is having a dedicated group of adults and high school youth willing to help nurture our faith in our youth.  Participants have the opportunity for additional and on-going training and education through the archdiocese. Please contact the Director of Faith Formation at (860) 521-2904 if you are interested in serving in this vital ministry.

Nurturing Seedlings: Community for Young Parents.

  • Form community with other young parents and the parish
  • Grow in their own faith life
  • Learn simple skills to help their baby, toddler or preschooler come to know Jesus
